§ Mr. Brooksasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department at what height Her Majesty's Government cease to exercise practical control of Great Britain's airspace.
§ Mr. WhitlockI have been asked to reply.
The height to which national control over air space is exercised is a question of international law which has not yet been resolved. For civil aviation purposes at present the United Kingdom authorities provide air traffic control up to 45,000 feet.
