§ 52. Mr. Woofasked the Minister of Power why it is estimated that electricity from the fourth advanced gas-cooled reactor nuclear power station at Hartlepool will be no cheaper than the estimate 52W given in March, 1968 for the second station in the programme, Hinkley Point B.
§ Mr. MasonThe reason is that the reduction in costs stemming from design advances has been offset by worse site conditions at Hartlepool than at Hinkley Point and by inflation.
