asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what plans he has for the use of the Hampton's site adjoining the National Gallery.

The Hampton's site is to be used for the construction of a new National Portrait Gallery, as part of the development plan for the whole of the present National Gallery and National Portrait Gallery area.
