§ 53. Mr. Pavittasked the President of the Board of Trade when the Banks Committee had its first meeting; how many meetings have been held; when he expects the Commitee to report; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. DellThe first meeting of the Committee was held on 11th August,96W 1967. Since then 39 full meetings have been held, including one extending over a weekend. There has also been a large number of meetings of smaller groups, some 60 such meetings having been held in the last twelve months alone. It is expected to complete its inquiry by the end of the year.
