§ Mrs. Gwyneth DunwoodyIt is already an offence under the Trade Descriptions Act for such people knowingly or recklessly to make a statement in this country which is false to a material degree as regards the provision or nature of services, accommodation or facilities, the location or amenities of accommodation, and certain other matters. I hope that holidaymakers who have reason to think that such false statements have been made, whether in brochures or otherwise, will report the facts to the appropriate local weights and measures authority, who are responsible for enforcing the Act.
