§ 52. Mr Ronald Atkinsasked the President of the Board of Trade if, in view of the imbalance of Anglo-Canadian 374W trade in Canada's favour, he will propose to the Canadian Government that they should allow British cotton textiles duty-free entry into Canada in the same way as Canadian cottons are allowed duty-free entry into Great Britain.
§ Mr. DellI would refer my hon. Friend to the statement which my right hon. Friend made to the House yesterday about the Government's proposals to impose a tariff on cotton textile imports into the United Kingdom from countries in the Commonwealth Preference area, including Canada.—[Vol. 787, c. 1507–10.]
