§ Mr. TaverneThe Committee, which comprises only part of the machinery for public purchasing policy, is chaired by a third secretary, and served part-time by an under secretary, an assistant secretary, and subordinate staff. As occasion demands, all purchasing Departments and Departments with an economic or trade interest in purchasing matters are represented, usually at director of contracts level.
