§ Mr. Hooleyasked the Minister of Transport, in British Railways at the most recent convenient date in 1969, what 186W were the total numbers of employees of ail grades, the aggregate value of capital assets including land and buildings, the annual income and expenditure, and the commercial or industrial activities other than the carriage of passengers and freight by rail, giving for each separate activity the value of assets employed and the number of employees.
§ Mr. MarshThe latest available information is set out in the British Railways Board's Report and Accounts for 1968 which have recently been published and to which I would refer my hon. Friend. Figures for 1969, adjusted to take account of the provisions of the Transport Act, 1968, are not yet available, but if my hon. Friend requires more information than is contained in the report and accounts I would ask him to write to the chairman of the board.
