§ Mr. Monroasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what, in the light of recently announced Government policy, is the earliest date upon which the revision of Parliamentary boundaries in Scotland will now be implemented.
§ Mr. RossA decision on the implementation of the recommendations of the Boundary Commission for Scotland will be taken after I have had an opportunity of assessing the recommendations of the Wheatley Commission on Local Government which is expected to report later this summer. I shall announce my decision as soon as possible after I have received and studied the Wheatley Commission's recommendations.
