Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Prime Minister whether he will now give an assurance that he will not take any irretrievable action towards implementing the Plowden Report on the salary increases to the higher-paid civil servants before the Summer Adjournment and until the House has had an opportunity of considering this subject.
