§ 33. Mrs. Joyce Butlerasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will seek powers to ensure that tests for products containing new manufactured substances such as enzymes and proteins are adequate to prevent health hazards to consumers.
§ Mr. HoyThe Food and Drugs Act, 1955, already requires that all food sold for human consumption must be safe and wholesome. As regards tests, I would refer to the answer I gave to my hon. Friend on 12th March.—[Vol. 779, c. 303.]
