asked the Minister of Overseas. Development how much overseas aid has been given to Kenya in the past 12 months; and what were the respective totals for each of the past five years.

Mr. Prentice

The provisional figures of the cost of overseas aid provided by Britain to Kenya in the twelve months ending 30th September, 1968, the latest period for which figures are available, amounted to £10.4 million.

A table setting out the figures for the previous five financial years is being circulated in the OFFICIAL REPORT.

These figures exclude aid to East African regional organisations.
