§ Mr. Gordon Campbellasked the Secretary of State for Scotland to what extent the transport subsidy proposed by the Government for egg producers in certain areas is based on comparisons between the sea freight costs of conveying eggs 150 miles to Glasgow from Belfast and the costs of transporting them 290 miles from Wick or 180 miles from Elgin; and what those comparisons are.
§ Mr. RossI would refer the hon. Member to the reply which I gave to the 227W hon. Member for Aberdeenshire, West (Mr. James Davidson) on 7th February. The details of the arrangements to be made are still under consideration.—[Vol. 777, c. 188.]
