§ Mr. UrwinBefore any passenger services are withdrawn the Regional Economic Planning Council advise on the economic planning implications of the proposal. A separate general study is therefore not required. During 1969, more than one-third of the £62 million payable as grant for passenger services retained on social or economic grounds will relate to services in or to the development areas.
