§ Mr. John MorrisThe total value of naval contracts placed by the Government with shipyards in the United Kingdom in 1968 was £38.4 million, of which 46 per cent. was awarded to Scottish yards. The corresponding figures for 1960, 1962, 1964 and 1966 were £26.2 million and 32 per cent., £36.6 million and 37 per cent., £30.6 million and 31 per cent., and £506 million and 13 per cent. respectively.
These figures include orders for Commonwealth and foreign navies placed on a Government-to-Government basis.
