HC Deb 17 February 1969 vol 778 c54W
Mr. Ellis

asked the Minister of Public Building and Works what action he will take regarding the proposals put forward by the Council of the Bristol and Somerset Society of Architects regarding the General Post Office's new building in Telephone Avenue, Bristol, which have been submitted to his Department.

Mr. Mellish

The views of the Society, together with those of the Royal Fine Art Commission, will be taken into account in the discussions now proceeding between the Ministry's architects and the Bristol Planning Authority. I am not yet in a position to announce the outcome.
