asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will extend the coverage and increase the frequency of publication of the Digest of Scottish Statistics.

Mr. Ross

The coverage of the Digest of Scottish Statistics has been progressively extended, and it is a continuing aim to extend it further. To increase the frequency of its publication would not be justified at present.
