§ Sir W. Teelingasked the Minister of Public Building and Works what has been the cost of repairing the clock of St. James's Palace facing St. James's Street in each of the last three years; and what estimate he has made of the cost of a new clock with the latest British equipment.
§ Mr. MellishNo repairs have been necessary since my predecessor's reply to the hon. Member's Question on 1st May, 1967. Routine maintenance cost £12 in the year ended March, 1968, and £9 since 1st April, 1968. A new clock with British equipment would cost about £2,500.—[Vol. 746, c. 88.]
