§ 71. Mr. Alison
asked the Minister of Transport what information he has re ceived from the proprietors of the Selby Toll Bridge about their intention to re place the bridge during 1969; and what consultations he proposes to have in order to minimise consequential traffic disruption.
§ Mr. Carmichael
We have been informed by the bridge proprietors of the need to replace the bridge, and our officials are in close touch with their consultant engineers on the details of the work involved. Consultations with the object of minimising disturbance to traffic are already in progress with both the consultants and the local authorities; the police and the motoring organisations will also be consulted on the implementation of the necessary arrangements.
