HC Deb 03 February 1969 vol 777 c11W
68. Sir J. Langford-Holt

asked the Minister of Transport what study he has made of the evidence from the Automobile Association, details of which have been sent to him, on the subject of drugs and driving; and what plans he has for research into this subject.

70. Mr. George Jeger

asked the Minister of Transport what study he has made of the evidence advanced by a motoring organisation, a copy of which has been sent to him, on the danger on the roads from drugged drivers; what action he proposes to take; and whether he will make a statement.

Mr. Bob Brown

On present evidence it appears that the number of road accidents in this country which can be attributed to drugs is very small. However, we are examining this further to see whether increased research effort would be justified.
