§ Mr. Bruce-Gardyneasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will list in the OFFICIAL REPORT the occasions on which the deferment provision in the financial agreement of 6th March, 1957. 35W regarding the post-war dollar loans have been invoked to date, and state the number of further waivers yet available; and if he will make a statement on his plans to seek additional waivers by agreement with the United States and Canadian Governments.
§ Mr. Roy JenkinsThe right to defer annual instalments of interest and principal on these loans was exercised in 1957, 1964, 1965 and 1968. There are three further opportunities. I have no plans to seek additional waivers.
