§ Mr. Andersonasked the Secretary of State for Wales what steps he has taken to inform Welsh local authorities that under the terms of Section 138 of the Transport Act, 1968, they are able to provide concessions for elderly persons on non-municipal buses.
§ Mr. George ThomasMy right hon. Friend the Minister of Transport informed the local authorities concerned last January of the new powers available to them under Section 138 of the Transport Act. I hope that local authorities in Wales will take full advantage of this opportunity to help the elderly, blind and disabled.
