§ 74. Mr. Moyleasked the Minister of Transport what is the estimated cost to the Exchequer of the Greater London Council's Ringway 2 in north and south London.
§ Mr. MulleyRingway 2 in North London from the M4 in Chiswick to the Al3 in East Ham is my responsibility. For the most part it consists of the North Circular Road, which will be improved as circumstances allow. I estimate that the total cost of this and the proposed new section between South Woodford and the A13 will be about £100 million.
I have made no estimates for Ringway 2 south of the M4 and A13, which is a Greater London Council project. I would contribute 75 per cent. of the cost if it were approved as a principal road scheme.
