asked the Minister of Transport if he is aware that increased traffic in Hythe is causing congestion; when he proposes to announce the realignment of Prospect Road; and, pending funds being made available, if he will complete the planning stage so that work can commence with the minimum of delay.

As explained in my recent letters, we do not consider the situation justifies high priority for the comprehensive scheme to realign Prospect Road. We are unable to forecast when it may be possible to authorise detailed preparation of the scheme, or parts of it.
