HC Deb 09 December 1969 vol 793 c58W
69. Mr. Kershaw

asked the Minister of Transport what proposals he now has to provide bypasses for the A433 through Tetbury and Didmarton; what will be the routes of the bypasses; what the work will cost; and when it will start.

Mr. Bob Brown

Gloucestershire County Council, the responsible highway authority, currently has proposals for a two-mile eastern bypass of Tetbury and Doughton estimated to cost about £1½ million and for a 1½ mile northern bypass of Didmarton estimated to cost over £1¼ million. The council has not accorded them high priority and we cannot forecast when they may be accepted for preparation.
