DaviesThe Department's help takes a number of forms, e.g. general sponsorship, collaborative contracts, direct grants to the Motor Industry Research Association and assistance from the Ministry's Establishments, and it is 399W difficult to allocate costs precisely. The total in 1968–69 was about £250,000 rising to about £300,000 in 1969–70.
