§ Mr. Dalyellasked the Minister of Overseas Development what action she proposes to take on the Jackson Study of the United Nations Development System undertaken by her Department.
§ Mrs. HartI welcome the publication of this comprehensive report undertaken by Sir Robert Jackson at the request of the United Nations Development Programme, which makes far reaching recommendations designed to increase the efficiency of the whole of the United Nations' development effort. The report is now being studied in detail here. We intend to take an active part in the international discussions on it which will begin at the meeting of the Governing Council of the United Nations Development Programme next month. A copy has been placed in the Library of the House.
