§ Mr. Wallaceasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the average net income of a student nurse since 1st April, 1969, where arrangements have been made for meals to be paid as taken.
§ Mr. CrossmanI cannot answer this more precisely than in my reply to my hon. Friend on 21st April. As indicated in the final paragraph of that reply, deductions from pay are £106 less when meals are paid for as taken, but income after payment for meals naturally depends on the number and price of the meals the individual chooses to take.—[Vol. 782, c.18.]
