§ 58. Mr. James Davidsonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many inquiries have been received as a result of the Government-sponsored scheme to publicise Inverurie Railway Workshops; what proportions of these inquiries have been related to the labour force, the whole premises and to only part of the premises, respectively; and how many of the inquiries have been followed by firm appointments by management staff actually to visit the premises.
§ Mr. RossTen positive inquiries about development at Inverurie have so far emerged as a result of the publicity campaign. Information about these inquiries, including the details asked for in the Question, has been fully set out in a letter sent by my Department to the Railway Workshops Manager at Inverurie with a request that he conveys its contents to the local works committee. I have arranged for a copy to be sent to the hon. Member.
