§ 50. Mr. Hector Hughesasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will amend clause 12 of the regulation relating to disabled persons' cars, which provides that when the child or children of the disabled person reaches the age of 14 years or ceases to depend on the disabled person the car will not be replaced, by substituting a later age which will enable the disabled person to continue his or her care of the relevant children.
§ Mr. MillanNo. But I would stress that the car is not withdrawn until it is unserviceable, which may be some time after the child reaches his 14th birthday.
