HC Deb 21 April 1969 vol 782 c22W
Mr. MacArthur

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what will be the extra cost in a full year to the hotel industry in Scotland of the increased rates of Selective Employment Tax.

Mr. Taverne

Separate figures for the tax paid by hotels are not generally available. For the hotel and catering industry as a whole, I estimated that the extra revenue from Scotland in a full year will be very roughly £700,000.
