Mr. R. C. Mitchellasked the Postmaster-General whether he will consider abolishing the charge of £1 which is payable when a telephone in the 700 series is fitted.
§ Mr. StonehouseI have decided to abolish this charge forthwith. Telephones in the 700 series will become the standard instruction for new connections.
