§ Mr. Geoffrey Lloydasked the Secretary of State for Social Services what steps are taken to warn travellers by air of the prevalence of malaria in countries which they propose to visit and of the precautions which they should take against it; and whether he will introduce legislation to make it obligatory for all air passage tickets to such places to be accompanied by warning notices about malaria.
§ Mr. CrossmanA warning notice about malaria and the precautions to be taken is included in "Notice to Travellers". This is a free leaflet distributed widely to members of the public, airlines, travel agencies and others, which gives advice to travellers going abroad. I see no need for legislation.
