§ Q16. Mr. William Hamiltonasked the Prime Minister whether the public speech by the Lord President of the Council in 367W London on 21st October on broadcasting represents the policy of Her Majesty's Government.
§ The Prime MinisterAs my right hon. Friend made clear, he accepted the invitation to deliver his lecture on The Politics of Television in a private and not a Ministerial capacity. He did however preface his lecture with a brief account of the Government's policy which is to uphold the tradition of a free Press and apply it faithfully to radio and television.
