§ Sir J. Gilmourasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is the value and weight of waste paper collected from all Government offices in the country.
§ Mr. Harold LeverSome 4,090 tons were disposed of in London in the first six months of this year under arrangements made by H.M. Stationery Office. The revenue derived from disposal has always been confidential for commercial reasons. It would be a costly and unrewarding exercise to collect figures for disposal throughout the whole country since arrangements for ordinary waste are often made locally by the individual establishments concerned.
