§ Mr. David Steelasked the Secretary of State for Scotland, if he will publish a table in the OFFICIAL REPORT showing the annual number of deaths resulting from criminal abortions in Scotland from 1960 to 1967 and the number known to have occurred since the Abortion Act, 1967 came into effect.
§ Mr. RossThe numbers of deaths from abortion from 1960 to 1967 are shown in the table set out below. It is not known how many of these resulted from criminal abortion. So far as is known no deaths from abortion have occurred since the Abortion Act, 1967 came into effect.
