§ Mr. Ian Lloydasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science whether he will take steps to ensure that in public transport under the direct or indirect control of Her Majesty's Government and in public services where direct per capita charges affect children, the financial dependence of children up to the legal school-leaving age of 15 years is recognised by maintaining appropriate reductions for children up to that age or for children still at school or at university on production of proof of attendance.
§ Mr. Edward ShortIt is for the body responsible for administering the service concerned to decide to what extent any charges payable should be reduced for pupils or students attending educational establishments.
