Whether an early statement could be made, in advance of legislation, on what Decimal Currency Conversion Tables are to be used, in order to facilitate the arrangements now having to be made by some organisations especially in relation to long-term payment methods.
§ LORD BESWICK
The tables recommended by the Decimal Currency Board 1127WA and accepted by the Government for the conversion of £ s. d. penny amounts to (i) new halfpenny amounts and (ii) new penny amounts are set out below. The extent to which these tables will have effect in law will be a matter for Parliament to consider in due course.
