How many murders have been committed in the United Kingdom in each year since 1960.

Following are the latest corrected figures for offences of murder known to the police in the years 1960 to 1967. The figures for England and Wales and for Northern Ireland relate to the numbers of victims of murder. The figures for Scotland relate to the numbers of completed acts of murder and are not fully comparable with the figures for England and Wales and for Northern Ireland.
