§ Mr. Wingfield Digbyasked the Minister of Technology what plans he has for promoting further amalgamations in the 114W shipbuilding and shiprepairing industry; and how he is seeking to bring them about.
§ Mr. BennThe Shipbuilding Industry Board will continue to promote shipbuilding mergers and provide financial assistance where necessary under the Shipbuilding Industry Act. Shiprepair is not covered by the Act and I have no present plan for promoting particular amalgamations in that field.
