Mr. Bob BrownThe Town and Country Planning Act, 1962 provides remedies for the owners of certain classes of blighted properties. Proposals for the extension of these provisions are included in the Town and Country Planning Bill at present before Parliament. In particular, the Bill will require the Minister to purchase owner-occupied properties blighted by trunk road schemes at an early stage of planning.
