asked the Minister of Power if he has granted permission for the use of oil-fired boilers at the Thorpe Marsh power station.

No; nor are there plans to convert the coal fired boilers at Thorpe Marsh.

I understand work is in progress at the station to increase the storage capacity of the fuel used for the initial firing of the cod burning boilers.
