Mr. Alan Lee Williamsasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he will make a further statement on the appeal of Mr. John Everson against his sentence of 12 years' imprisonment for the stealing of two motor cars in Spain.
§ Mr. William RodgersI regret that Mr. Ever son's appeals against the sentences he is serving in Spain have been unsuccessful but I understand that the defence lawyer will be considering with his client what further action could be taken on his behalf. Mr. Everson is visited regularly by our Consul, who is satisfied with his general welfare.
