§ Mr. Hector Hughesasked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will state the housing accommodation rents and other facilities available to workers and potential workers in Aberdeen advance factories; and how many advance factories remain unoccupied and unproductive because of difficulty in housing their expected potential workers.
§ Mr. RossOf five advance factories completed or under construction, two have not yet been taken up. Aberdeen Corporation makes special arrangements, in consultation with industrial developers, for the housing of incoming essential workers, and I have no reason to think that these two factories are still unlet through lack of housing.
