HC Deb 14 May 1968 vol 764 c232W
Mr. R. W. Brown

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what stage has been reached in the work of the joint committee of national experts set up in June, 1959 for the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation, the Western European Union, the Council of Europe, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, European Launcher Development Organisation and the European Space Research Organisation to draw up identical or similar rules for the staff of these organisations in the field of salaries and social benefits.

Mr. Mulley

The Co-ordinating Committee of Government Budget Experts has played an important part in achieving a uniform grading structure and coordinated scales of remuneration for the civilian staff of the six international organisations. It has a continuing advisory function in connection with periodic reviews of salaries and allowances.
