asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department, whether he can now make a further statement about a review of the law of contempt as it affects comment on, or statements made about, matters referred to a tribunal of inquiry under the Tribunals of Inquiry (Evidence) Act, 1921.

Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland and I intend to set up a Committee with the following terms of referenceTo inquire into the law of contempt as it affects comment on or statements made about matters referred to a tribunal of inquiry set up under the Tribunals of Inquiry (Evidence) Act. 1921 and the interviewing of potential witnesses concerning such matters and to report.

I shall anounce the names of the chairman and other members in due course.
