§ Mr. J. H. Osbornasked the Minister of Transport in view of the decision to bring in British Standard Time, if she will send a circular to all local education authorities advising them to provide illuminated crossing signs for use by wardens, particularly in the mornings, at children's crossings.
§ Mr. CarmichaelNo illuminated sign is available at present which has proved 273W effective and practical. Other alternatives, including better lighting at crossings may be better. We are looking at various possible improvements for these crossings.
