asked the President of the Board of Trade (1) what estimate he has made of the total cost of the grants payable under the hotel development scheme recently announced by Her Majesty's Government;

(2) what estimate he has made of the total amount of loans likely to be made under the hotel development scheme recently announced by Her Majesty's Government.

The cost of grants and loans in any particular year will depend on the nature and timing of investment decisions by the industry. It is too early to publish precise estimates.
