§ Mr. DarlingIn Great Britain industrial development certificates for schemes mainly over 5,000 sq. ft. were issued for 87.2 million sq. ft. in 1967 and 63.3 million in 1957; of these 5.7 million sq. ft. in 1967 and 1.8 million sq. ft. in 1957 were in Wales. For 1957, the figures relate only to schemes for manufacturing industry, while those for 1967 also include some schemes for non-manufacturing industry and the conversion of existing buildings to industrial use.
