§ Mr. Dalyell
asked the Secretary of State for Defence what information has been given to the German Government on British designs for a variable geometry aircraft.
§ Mr. Stonehouse
I have been asked to reply.162W
We have discussed with German authorities the operational requirements of our two forces, the possibility of meeting these by a joint project and the main technical features of the aircraft systems concerned. The stage has not yet been reached where design material has had to be exchanged.
